Inspired by his diverse experiences and an enthusiasm to collaborate, Maurice Cicmanec strives to create purposeful solutions that resonate with people and respect the world around us.
Born in Chicago and raised on the Gulf coast of Florida he found an equal love for the city hustle and relaxed beach vibes. During a 5-year stint in the Navy living on a submarine he developed a deep appreciation for the power of teamwork. After Maurice graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in sculpture he began his design career by building sets and props in Hollywood film (most notably Strangers Things) and has shaped a versatile background with exhibits design for NASA and designing home appliances in a fast-paced environment for Shark.

In addition to design he has worked a number of years professionally as a certified personal trainer, diet/lifestyle counselor & meditation instructor.
When not working you can find him in the mountains snowboarding, in the ocean scuba diving, or in his backyard feeding the squirrels
